Donation to the Canterbury Earthquake Children’s Trust
Dear LEGO Fans,
The LEGO Annual Brick Show 2012 (LABS2012) has been a full success. Thousands of children and adults enjoyed the event on July 14-15 at the University of Canterbury. Due to the relentless efforts of LUG 4/2 and its volunteers, we have been able to give the Canterbury community an exciting insight into the endless creative opportunities of LEGO.
Today we would like to announce that we have been able to make a $8500 donation to the Canterbury Earthquake Children’s Trust. It will help the children to Canterbury who lost a parent in the earthquake.
We would like to thank the University of Canterbury for making the facilities available, the LEGO Company and Toyworld to sponsor the event and 2Kidsfest for promoting the event. We extend our gratitude to Inside the Brick for donating the name tags, but most of all to all the volunteers that made this event possible.
We hope to see you all at the Christchurch Brick Show 2013 (CBS2013)! Check http://lug4x2.org/ for updates.
